Football4Profit: News- Injuries

A couple of notable injuries have been sustained within teams in the Italian Serie A, by clubs Inter and Milan. Luis Antonia Jimenez, Chilean midfielder for Inter, has torn a muscle in his left thigh. The hurt will put him out of commission for a month at the least, say the trainers, and will prevent him from playing the club’s two opening matches for their UEFA Champions League season, scheduled against Werder Bremen and Panathinaikos. The 24-year old was a substiturte for Inter during their opening game, having an impressive 3 goals in 15 games last season.

Thirty-year old Gennaro Gattuso sustained a bad hand injury that will prevent him from participating in Milan’s early race for the UEFA Cup. The hurt was sustained during a training match while on international duty with Italy; damage included a fracture in his left hand and the dislocation of his wrist. Trainers are estimating the midfielder will be on the  injured list for at least a month. Though he is certainly now unavailable to play for his team during their 1st leg tie with Zurich, he hopes to have completed rehab to play against them October 2nd.
