Football4Profit: News- Football

The week’s points are in for all the games that have taken place in the football world- including the Spanish Primera Liga and Germany’s Bundesliga. For the Germans, Hamburger has taken the lead in the league for the first time in the last 9 years, jumping ahead from being behind 2 points by beating Bayer Leverkusen. The competitors were playing with a 10 man squad and lost by one point, 3-2. Hamburger have 10 points after playing 4 games, followed by the teams Schalke, Bayern and Dortmund who are tied three ways with 8 points a piece. Schalke and Borussia Dortmund ended up tying at a 3-3 draw while Bayern Bremen topped out on Koln by taking them 3-0.

This week also marked the first win for Werder Bremen, which could be considered unusual for the runners up for last season. They took out Energie Cottbus who currently sit in last place, with a score of 3-0. Arminia Bielefeld lost to Bochum, as did Borussia Monchengladbach to Hannover, earning both teams their first victories this campaign. The moves in points leaves Arminia, Energie, and Eintract Frankfurt as the bottom three teams; none of which have won a game yet this season.

In the Primera Liga, Espanyol have managed to hold on to their perfect season, earning themselves a win against Recreativo Huelva with a single goal. They have six points so far this season, and lead three ahead of Real Madrid, who got their first win this campaign against Numancia. The game was eventful to say the least, as Numancia was ahead twice before succumbing to Real at the Bernabeu Stadium on Sunday.

Trailing Espanyol in points for second and third place are Valencia and Almeria, tied at four points a piece, along with Sevilla, Villareal, and Getafe. Sevilla’s match against Gijon resulted in a 4-3 final score, whereas Getafe drew with Betis when neither team made any scores. Deportivo La Coruna lost to Villareal with final numbers of 1-0. Racing Santander and Barcelona finished their game at a draw, each team scoring once, but leaving Barcelona still without a clear victory.
