Football4Profit: News- Carling Cup

This year’s Carling Cup looks to be going to one of the Big Four, or so predict the bookmakers- coming to an agreement after discord from the third round draws resulted in losses across the board. Betfred is currently listing 4/5 odds that either Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, or Liverpool will walk with the title, while chances that another Premier League club will triumph are down to 11/10. Even less likely, the odds that a team from the top flight will steal away what otherwise looks like a small competition are at 12/1. The tournament ends March 1st at Wembley. Chelsea has the biggest challenge ahead of them, set to meet up against Portsmouth. Nonetheless, the side is leading as favourite with odds to win at 5/1 that they’ll take the trophy for the third time in 5 years. Arsenal are up against Sheffield United but have an advantage on their home turf with odds of winning at 8/1. Manchester United earned themselves a draw at home against Middlesborough and Liverpool are sitting with 7/1 odds for their match with Crewe at Anfield. Newcastle will be hosting the competitors of Tottenham and both teams stand to win the tournament at 14/1 odds.
